About Jillian
Pronouns: she/her
I am an Associate Clinical Social Worker with a Masters from Smith College School for Social Work. I have worked in both outpatient and residential settings where I’ve provided individual, family, and group therapy to adolescents and adults.
My Approach
My goal is to help patients live a life with fulfilling relationships, resiliency, and a sense of purpose. By providing a supportive and compassionate space, I hope to free you to look at yourself directly with kind eyes, building a strong connection to yourself and others.
I believe self-esteem comes from learning to live a life aligned with our values, and our work together includes identifying those values and discovering how to put them into practice. This often includes learning tools to regulate emotional distress that gets in the way of acting and feeling how we want to.
To do this, I rely on evidence-based techniques including somatic awareness, dialectical behavior therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy. My overall approach is psychodynamic, helping you identify early relationship frameworks and circumstances that have informed your present emotional landscape and behavioral patterns. Through our work together, I hope we can increase your sense of joy in the world.
